Ape Drums’ signature progressive dancehall rhythms has already garnered support from some of the world’s top DJs & musicians including Major Lazer, Skrillex, Sean Paul and DJ Snake. The Houston, Texas native branches out a little on his first solo release for Mad Decent. “Go Crazy” sees Ape Drums with guest Dougie F and showing their ability to appeal to the radio without pandering and staying true to their roots. Following up “Go Crazy,” Ape goes back to his roots with a destructive dancehall smash featuring Major Lazer and Busy Signal. “The Way We Do This” may sound familiar to some as it highlights one of biggest dancehall riddims of the late 90’s that still get rinsed to this day. Ape Drums breathes new light into the beat and creates something soon to be the soundtrack to 1,000 vine dances. Ape Drums is about to take over; 2016 is definitely his year!
